Our family
People often refer to their employees or co-workers as family, but relationships can change over time. Here at Cadet Auto, our staff truly is our family. Our team includes Owners John and Jennifer Kent, along with Technician Kevin Ruell. Jennifer oversees the business side while John manages the shop. Together with Kevin, our experienced technicians, we offer a range of services including brake repair, engine repair, oil change services, tire services, and vehicle inspections. With 35 years of experience and ongoing education, we proudly recognize Kevin as a Master Technician. John brings 25 years of expertise as both a technician and a shop manager, consistently growing the clientele for every shop he has led. With John's extensive shop management experience, Jennifer's 25 years in business management, and Kevin's vast technical knowledge, we are dedicated to providing you and your family with exceptional service rooted in honesty and value.
John Kent
Sometimes you just have to jump. One day, John came home and said, "I want to open my own shop, and this is where I want to do it." I had a feeling it was coming and had been thinking about it. Despite my fears, I had a bigger feeling that he needed to do this and he needed to do this now. The opportunity was sudden and perfect for us. We had good credit but little savings, and this location came with everything he needed to work except his personal tools. We knew that the only option was to succeed—not only for our immediate family but for any employees we chose to hire. I know John well. I have seen him at work performing quality brake repair, engine repair, and tire services. I have seen him do for others what he should have been doing for himself, his family, and employees long ago. I have heard people tell me time and again how much they trust him, how they will follow him anywhere. He is honest, fair, and goes above and beyond to ensure that those coming to see him for oil change services and vehicle inspections are safe in their vehicle. John is just one of those people. Jenny Kent
When you call or walk into Cadet Automotive, it is likely that Jenny will be the first person you speak to. During the early stages of opening Cadet Automotive, Jenny took care of establishing the business entity that is now recognized as Cadet Automotive. With John still working full time, they had just three weeks to get the shop opened, and Jenny made the decisive choice that it had to get done. No matter what, they needed an LLC, a sales tax license, and a shop license; she made it all happen. With over 25 years of management experience and her own in-home business, there were many aspects of the automotive industry, including brake repair and engine repair, that Jenny and John were unfamiliar with. They relied on friends and family to help them navigate these challenges, and now they are ready to offer you quality services like oil change services, tire services, and vehicle inspections, all in one place.
Kevin Ruell
Kevin Ruell is our Master Technician with over 35 years of experience in auto repair, including brake repair and engine repair. He is very thorough and honest, always willing to go above and beyond for customers. Kevin ensures that every vehicle, whether it's for oil change services, tire services, or vehicle inspections, leaves the shop only when he is satisfied that the repairs have been done correctly. He takes pride in his work and treats every vehicle as if he or his family were driving it. We are lucky to have him as a coworker. Your vehicle is in great hands with Kevin.
